Barossa Rodeo is proudly hosted on private property by a small group of friends from the Southern Barossa Valley. Our goal is to create a safe, family-friendly, without the big price tag, event that’s packed with entertainment and fun for everyone. Inclusion & Accessibility at Barossa Rodeo

At Barossa Rodeo, we believe the excitement and community spirit of rodeo should be enjoyed by everyone. We’re committed to creating an inclusive, welcoming, and safe environment for all attendees, participants, and volunteers—regardless of age, ability, background, or identity.

Accessibility Features:

Designated Accessible Parking close to the event entrance
Accessible Viewing Areas with clear sightlines to the arena
Accessible Toilets located near main facilities
Assistance Welcome – Service animals and mobility aids are welcome across the venue
Companion Card Friendly – We honour Companion Cards and are happy to assist with ticketing arrangements – please contact us.
Grounds – most of the event site can accommodate wheelchairs and prams

Competitor Information

How do I enter as a competitor?
To compete at the Barossa Rodeo, all participants must be either a Day Member or Full Member of the Australian Professional Rodeo Association (APRA). You can find membership details and sign up here:

Where do I enter and get paid?
All entries and prize money payouts are managed through the APRA Member Portal.

Tickets & Entry

Are there tickets at the gate?
🚫 No, all tickets must be purchased online through our official website and Eventbrite platform.
🎟️ Tickets are non-refundable but transferable.

GATES OPEN:12 NOON
RODEO ACTION:2pm – Grand Entry & Junior Rodeo Events
KIDS ACTIVITIES: 4-5 pm
OPEN RODEO EVENTS: 5 pm (approx.)
LIVE MUSIC: on stage on completion of main arena events, through to bar close.

Safety & Emergency Services

⛑️ Accident or Incident?

First Aid responders and a veterinarian will be onsite throughout the event.

Nearest Hospital: Gawler Hospital (for emergency medical attention).

Camping

🚫 As the event is held on private property, camping is NOT permitted for event attendees.

Event Security & Biosecurity

Event security will be patrolling throughout.

Please be respectful—they are here to ensure a safe event for everyone.

If you are feeling unwell or suspect you may transmit a communicable disease, please do not attend the event.

LICENSED BAR & WINE STALL

🥤 Beverages – Non-alcoholic options include soft drinks and bottled water. For those who enjoy a drink, beer, wine, and spirits (local where possible) will be available.

Photography Policy

📸 Photography & Social Media

We understand that mobile phone photography and social media sharing are common, but we ask that you do not post images that could be incriminating to the event organisers, competitors, or spectators.
If you are a professional photographer wishing to take photos for resale, please contact the event organisers prior to the event.
